Built between the 11th and 14th centuries, this impressive stone city covers nearly 1,800 acres. Its remarkable architecture includes winding staircases, interlocking walls, massive granite boulders, and structures built entirely without mortar.

Within the site, you will also find a small museum displaying traditional houses, artifacts, building techniques, and the history of this ancient kingdom. The modern nation of Zimbabwe takes its name from this monumental site.
