Our office representative or drive guide will pick you up, have a short safari brief, and then drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch boxes.

This impressive park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas. Also, this park is serene and beautiful, with tree-climbing lions, elephants, and hippos that you can see at a closer range than most other places. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake that hosts thousands of flamingoes at certain times of the year and diverse other bird life. The lake and its surroundings are also home to herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeest, buffalos, warthogs, and giraffes. Also, the Rift Valley escarpment forms a noteworthy landmark and provides a spectacular backdrop to Lake Manyara.

Instead of an evening game drive, you will be transported directly to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

Day 2

Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to Serengeti National Park for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch.

Serengeti National Park is the largest of all the parks in Tanzania. It is a World Heritage Site and a biosphere reserve. The Serengeti ecosystem is perhaps best known for continuously migrating millions of wildebeest, zebras, and Thompson’s gazelles. The ecosystem contains one of the highest concentrations of carnivores in Africa. The park is also home to the endangered black rhinos and African wild dogs. This national park is also home to many other animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs, hyenas, and a lot of bird life. The annual migration takes place around the Serengeti, and at a particular time during the year, millions of wildebeest and zebra mingle together, followed by predators.

You will experience a thrilling game drive, then luxuriate at the hotel, where comfort and fine dining await.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will have another day at Serengeti National Park with a packed lunch.

As you explore the Serengeti, you will see thousands of animals and nocturnal predators.

You will generally find impalas, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, and often lions and other big cats such as leopards and cheetahs. The migration, consisting of around 2 million animals, is moving all year round. Other animals frequently seen in the Serengeti include baboons, caracal, civets, bat-eared foxes, genet, giraffes, hippos, honey badgers, hyrax, mongoose, ostrich, both Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, velvet monkeys. There are also some 20 types of antelope in the park, including eland, hartebeest, impala, kudu, reedbuck, roan, topi, waterbuck, and the much smaller dik-dik, duiker, and klipspringer.
