A member of the Chalema Tanzania Safaris team will meet you at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, welcoming you to our country: the jewel of East Africa and home of the authentic African safari. After a brief orientation, we’ll bring you to the first stop on your trip: the lovely Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Your day begins with breakfast at 7:30 am, followed by pickup at 8:00 am and departure by 8:30 am. After a 2-hour drive, you’ll arrive at Tarangire National Park for an exciting 6-hour game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park.

Tarangire is known for its unique landscape, dominated by majestic baobab trees and the life-giving Tarangire River. The park is home to the Big Four, large herds of elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, impalas, and even tree-climbing African pythons.

Serengeti national Park

Serengeti national Park

After breakfast, you'll depart for the iconic Serengeti National Park. Following a scenic three-hour drive, you’ll arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting game drive across the vast savannah and scattered woodlands of the Serengeti renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration.

As the day winds down, you'll head to Safari Haven Camp, where you can relax and take in a stunning Serengeti sunset.

Day 4

After breakfast, you'll begin your first game drive in the world-famous Serengeti. Spend the morning exploring the vast plains and spotting wildlife in their natural habitat. The Serengeti is teeming with life expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, and possibly even cheetahs or leopards. After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes. Later, you'll head to Safari HavenCamp to unwind and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll depart from the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, you’ll descend into the crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five. As you explore the crater floor, you’ll witness diverse ecosystems and stunning scenery, making it one of the most memorable safari experiences of your journey.

Cultural Activities at Mto wa Mbu

After breakfast at Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha. Along the way, you’ll stop at Mto wa Mbu for a cultural experience, including a hands-on cooking activity where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Tanzanian dishes. After enjoying your meal and engaging with the local community, you'll continue to Arusha and check in at your hotel, where you can relax and reflect on your unforgettable safari journey.

Day 7

Materuni Waterfalls

Materuni Waterfalls

Materuni Village, home to the Chagga people, is a charming place just 15km from Moshi Town and the last stop before Kilimanjaro National Park. You will be picked up by an English-speaking guide and driven to the village. After registering, you'll embark on a 40-minute walk to stunning waterfalls over 80 meters high, where you can take a refreshing swim if you bring your swimwear.

After enjoying the scenery, you will return to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch and try local banana beer. Next, you'll participate in a coffee experience, learning about the cultivation and roasting process, and even help grind the coffee while enjoying Chagga songs and dances. Before returning to Moshi or Arusha, you will savor the coffee you made and the beautiful views of the surrounding rainforest.
