Fly to Moremi Crossing, Okavango Delta
You'll be met on arrival at Maun Airport and board a light aircraft for the short flight into the Delta - around twenty minutes in the air, and the view alone is worth it. Moremi Crossing sits on Ntswi Island, overlooking the Boro River and Chief's Island in Gunn's Private Concession, and it has been welcoming guests to this corner of the Delta for decades.
The camp has a wonderfully sociable crescent-shaped main area perched on stilts above the floodplain, with a bar, dining area, firepit, and pool that together make it very easy to settle in. The tented suites are raised and spacious, each with a private deck looking out over the riverine forest Each tent has a fan, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom, and outdoor shower.
Elephants and red lechwe are regular visitors to the floodplain in front of camp, and there's a good chance of a sighting before you've even unpacked.

Day 2-3
Explore the Okavango Delta
Explore the Okavango Delta
Moremi Crossing is one of those camps that genuinely excels across every kind of activity, and these two days let you experience all of it.
Game drives head out into Gunn's Private Concession in open 4x4 vehicles - off-road access means the guides can follow sightings properly, and the area delivers reliably: lion, leopard, elephant, and wild dog are all resident.
Walking safaris with expert guides are a particular strength here, tracking animals on foot through the Mopane forest and floodplains in a way that changes how you see everything else.
When the season allows, mokoro excursions glide out through the papyrus channels of the Delta, poled by local guides who know every bend and waterway by instinct. Boat Cruises are another seasonal activity, allowing you to explore further afield in a motorised boat.
Evenings wind down around the firepit, with the sounds of the bush settling in around you and a sky full of stars overhead.

Day 4-5
Fly to the Khwai region of Okavango Delta
Fly to the Khwai region of Okavango Delta
After a final morning activity and breakfast, a short fixed-wing flight transfers you northeast to the Khwai area and your next camp - MmaTsebe, a small owner-run property set on private land along the Mbudi River, a tributary of the Khwai.
The flight gives you a bird's-eye perspective on the Delta's extraordinary patchwork of channels and islands that no ground-level view can match.
MmaTsebe is intimate and full of character - nine classic canvas tents are tucked into the Mopane forest, each with river views from a private veranda, plush canopy bed, ceiling fan, and en-suite bathroom.
The main deck under canvas overlooks the Mbudi, with indoor and outdoor dining, an all-day bar, daybeds, and a pool. Game drives cover both Moremi Game Reserve and the wider Khwai concession, and mokoro excursions launch directly from camp.
Elephants, hippos, buffalo, and lechwe are viewed regularly from the property.

Day 6
Boat cruise from Xakanaxa Boat Station
Boat cruise from Xakanaxa Boat Station
Today's excursion is one of the finest in the Delta. You'll travel by game vehicle into Moremi before boarding a double-decker boat for a full-day journey through the winding channels of Xakanaxa - a remote section of the Delta accessible exclusively to MmaTsebe guests.
The excursion is named for the sitatunga, an elusive semi-aquatic antelope found here in one of its highest concentrations in the entire Delta, and the birdlife along the channels is exceptional. Drinks and a picnic lunch are served onboard as the day unfolds at the Delta's own unhurried pace.
The afternoon game drive back to camp rounds out a very full day. For those wanting a slower, more spectacular start, an optional helicopter transfer to Xakanaxa offers a bird's-eye view over the Delta en route - a genuinely extraordinary way to arrive.

Day 7
Return to Maun for onward travel
Return to Maun for onward travel
After a final morning game drive and breakfast, a light aircraft brings you back to Maun, where international connections await.
If the Delta has left you wanting more - and it usually does - this is the perfect point to extend the trip.
A few nights in Chobe National Park delivers an entirely different landscape: vast elephant herds, superb river cruising, and game drives through one of Africa's most densely populated wildlife areas.
From Chobe, Victoria Falls is a natural and spectacular finale - one of the world's great natural wonders, and a place where a day or two disappears very easily. Ask us about adding either or both to your itinerary.
