Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and after immigration formalities, Wild Pride Safaris’ Driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for your Tanzanian Luxury Safari & Zanzibar safari.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park.
Game drive in the park with a picnic lunch.
Tarangire National Park (2,600km2) has an unrivaled landscape of open plains, dotted with thousands of baobabs. It is located about 120 km south of Arusha. Tarangire is known for its Elephant and very big herds of buffalo. This is one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. The animals include zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, Maasai giraffes, and fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok). Predators include lions, cheetahs and leopards.
Late afternoon drive to Ngorongoro dinner and overnight stay will be at at Ngorongoro Lodge Meliá Collection.

After breakfast depart for a morning to afternoon crater tour with picnic lunch. Descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater (more precisely a caldera). This 304 square kilometre enclosed ecosphere was formed some two or three million years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano and offers the best game viewing opportunities in all of Tanzania. Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. With some 25,000 large mammals within the caldera, you will have the opportunity to see, in addition to ‘the big five’ (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, & leopard), animals such as wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, bushbuck, hartebeest, hippo, antelope, both Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, impala, to name a few, as well as over 500 bird species.

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch for Serengeti National Park with a packed lunch for an afternoon game drive.
En route, visit a Maasai village where a Maasai warrior will welcome you and share stories of local life and culture,
followed by a Questions &Answers session. You'll then be invited into one of the traditional homes to meet family members and children, before enjoying a performance of their famous song and dance, including their well-known high jumping. Continue on to Central Serengeti for an afternoon game drive in Serengeti before proceed to Meliá Serengeti Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Another full days of game drives in the Serengeti awaits.
The days' pace can be more relaxed, with drives in the cooler early morning and late afternoon hours in search of migration. The Great Migration (also referred to as "Serengeti Migration") is arguably the greatest wildlife show on earth. It is the largest single movement of wildlife on earth in search of water, pasture, and breeding grounds. Beyond the great migrating herds, look for cheetah, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland, crocodile, and Thomson's and Grant's gazelle. Birdlife is just as rich, with over 500 species recorded like ostrich, secretary bird, marabou stork, and the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird.
