Day 1

Your safari begins with pickup from your lodge in Arusha by your Bahati Safaris guide. You will drive approximately 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and ancient Baobab trees. The Tarangire River provides the region’s only water source during the dry season, attracting a variety of wildlife including giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, lions, and leopards.

Lunch will be served at a picnic site within the park. After your game drive, transfer to your accommodation in Karatu, either Marera Valley Lodge or Kankari Lodge, for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Karatu to Serengeti

Karatu to Serengeti

After breakfast, travel through the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping to admire the Ngorongoro Crater from the rim. Continue to the southern Serengeti, home to vast open grasslands and the Great Migration. This ecosystem hosts millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes.

Lunch: Picnic in the Serengeti
Overnight: Safari Haven Serengeti Camp, Central Serengeti.

Evening Guide Brief:
Today, we entered the iconic Serengeti plains. The horizon seems endless, and every step may bring a new wildlife encounter. The Great Migration moves constantly, and tomorrow we may witness some of its most dramatic moments.

Spend the entire day on game drives in the Serengeti. Wildlife abounds, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, impalas, buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles. Optional hot air balloon safari in the early morning provides a unique aerial view of the plains.

Lunch: Picnic in the park
Evening: Drive north to North Serengeti and overnight at Safari Haven Camp, Kogatende

An early start allows you to witness one of the Great Migration’s most dramatic events: animals crossing the Mara River. Brave wildebeests plunge into crocodile-infested waters in their quest for greener pastures in the Masai Mara.

After breakfast, drive toward Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying wildlife sightings along the way. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a unique, enclosed ecosystem formed millions of years ago by a volcanic collapse.

Tomorrow, we descend into a world teeming with wildlife. From lions to elephants, from gazelles to more than 500 bird species, the Ngorongoro Crater offers some of Africa’s most intimate wildlife experiences.

Stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending back to the crater rim and returning to Arusha and drop off at hotel.
