You arrive at Entebbe International Airport, which is on a piece of land that goes into Lake Victoria. On your arrival you will be briefed by our Safari guide and there after takes you to the hotel, which is close to the airport, for you to stay there overnight.

Day 2
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable
This morning, after you eat, your guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - where the Mountain Gorillas live. At Kihihi or Kisoro, a person from JM Jungle Safaris Uganda Safaris will come get you and take you to Mahogany Springs Safari Lodge. After you have completed the check-in process, you can spend the rest of the day doing whatever you want.
In the afternoon, you can join a guided walk in nature to meet the people who live near the park. It costs $25 per person. You can learn about the culture of the people and meet a traditional healer on the nature trail. They will teach you how the Bwindi forest, a UNESCO heritage site, is used to treat people for different illnesses. You can also go to a nearby school when classes are happening.

Day 3

Wake up early and have breakfast at 6. 30am Get ready to go to the park headquarters. Your guide will take you to the starting point of the trek before 8:00 am. You will need to register and attend a meeting where the rangers will explain what to expect during the trek. Don't forget to bring your packed lunch. The guides will lead you through the thick forest, making their way through the plants on the ground, searching for where the group of gorillas you are following slept. Walking or hiking can last from 30 minutes to 5 hours. You need to be reasonably fit and have strong walking shoes. When you finally find the family you are following, sit in the forest with the gorillas, listen to them talk to each other, and be amazed by how big the main male, called the Silverback, is. After one hour, the rangers will take you back to where you began. Your guide will bring you back to the place where you are staying. You can have the rest of the day all to yourself.

Day 4

Transfer Back to Entebbe
This morning, have breakfast and depending on the wake-up time you will head to queen Elisabeth for a Short Game Drive and leave for Entebbe. You will arrive back in Entebbe in the late afternoon.
