Pick up from your hotel in the morning and drive to Machame Gate. Trekking will begin after arriving to the Gate. This trail is relatively is gentle, meandering through a dense canopy of trees and a variety of tropical plant life and finally arriving to Machame Camp where you will be staying for the night.

Machame Camp To Shira Camp
After breakfast, Ascend for Shira Camp. The second day involves a steeper climb and a shift in landscape as you leave the rainforest behind and enter the moorland zone. If you start early, you should arrive at Shira Camp 1 at noon an have your lunch. Continuing trekking after lunch and arrive at Shira Cave Camp and overnight stay,

Shira Camp to Lava Tower To Barranco Camp
The trek continues across diverse terrain, including rocky paths and ridges. After breakfast, hiking for 4-5 hours until you reach Lava Tower Camp. After Lunch, continuing your hike for an hour before arriving at Barranco Camp and overnight stay.
Trek Time: 6 hours
Difficulty: Moderate - Steep up to Lava Tower then All Down

Barranco Camp To Karanga Camp
The fourth day involves traversing through alpine desert landscapes. After breakfast in the morning, begin with a challenging climb up the Barranco wall which will last about an hour. Continue the climb to Karanga Camp situated on a rocky ridge and spend the night here, allowing for rest and altitude acclimatization.

Karanga CampTo Barafu Camp
From Karanga Camp, it takes about 3-4 hours to get to Barafu Camp, which is the final camp before the infamous summit day. Barafu Camp stands at more than 4,670m above sea level, and the effect of high altitude will become much more apparent here than at any other camps you have been to. After 3-4 hours of trek you'll arrive at Barafu camp and go to bed as early as 7 PM and wake up at 12 AM to begin your final ascent.

Barafu Camp To Uhuru Peak To Mweka Camp
The summit attempt begins at midnight, with a challenging climb to Stella Point and then on to Uhuru Peak. It is an extremely long hike that will take you up a moderate slope through the night at subzero temperatures. From Stellar Point, it is another hour hike along a rather simple trail before arriving at Uhuru Peak, standing at a whopping 5,895 m above sea level. After celebrating at the peak, you'll descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp and spend the night.

The final day of the trek involves descending through the lush rainforest back to Mweka Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to the mountain and drive back to Moshi at your hotel.
