Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your transfer guide who will warmly welcome you and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Once at the hotel, your driver-guide will assist with the check-in process, and a porter will help with your luggage and escort you to your room. After freshening up, enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant. You’ll then have free time to relax, explore the hotel facilities, take photos, and unwind before heading to bed.

Game Drives in Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you'll journey to the 8th Wonder of the World—Ngorongoro Crater—for a full-day game drive. Known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a stunning natural sanctuary located 190 km from Arusha. The crater’s diverse landscape—grasslands, forests, and swamps—supports over 25,000 large mammals year-round. Expect to see lions, leopards, black rhinos, hyenas, zebras, baboons, and more. After ascending from the crater, you'll head to your lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.

After breakfast, a Kojuu Safaris driver-guide will pick you up for a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game viewing along the way. Spanning nearly 15,000 sq km, the Serengeti is one of the world’s most iconic and wild game parks—truly “the endless plains,” as described by the Maasai. The park is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino—and is famous for the Great Migration and stunning landscapes. In the evening, you’ll head to your lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Full-day Game Drives in Serengeti National Park

Awaken to the sounds of the African wilderness and head to the main area for breakfast. Afterward, your driver-guide will take you on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. If you're passionate about wildlife, the Serengeti is the perfect destination. Home to around 3,000 lions—real-life Mufasas, Simbas, and Scars—they are often spotted roaming or resting under trees. Lions can be active for up to 20 hours a day. The park also hosts bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, and a wide variety of birds, including the kori bustard and Fischer’s lovebird. As the day winds down, you'll return to your lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the magic of the Serengeti.

Fly Out from Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar

After breakfast, you have two options for your departure. You can choose to fly out of the Serengeti to either Zanzibar or Arusha at an additional cost, or enjoy a game drive en route as you drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight. If you're flying to Zanzibar, please book a flight departing no earlier than 8:00 p.m. For international departures, we recommend booking flights that leave from 9:00 p.m. onward.
