Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve

Your driver will take you northwest on the Platinum Highway from Johannesburg's airport or your accommodation. Pitstops allow you to recharge. You will be greeted and given a tour of Motswiri Private Safari Lodge as you reach Madikwe Game Reserve in the early afternoon. The hide has a good position for observing the game. After cooling down in the pool, guests may indulge in savoury and sweet snacks for afternoon tea.

Bring your cameras for a night-time wildlife tour hosted by a local ranger. Dinner will be provided at your lodge. This is a memorable experience, particularly when offered inside a boma over a campfire. Visit the hide to see animals or relax in your cosy accommodations.

Madikwe Game Reserve

The plan for the day is to get up before dawn, have some tea or coffee, and eat a light breakfast before going on a game drive to see the animals. Wildlife in the reserve is often more active in the morning when it's cooler. It is also the best time for photography. When you get back to the lodge, you can have a full breakfast or lunch. In the afternoon, you can relax by the pool or use the other facilities. After yet another great meal, you'll go on a wildlife-viewing drive that might last until late in the evening. Your day will definitely end with a delicious meal and some quiet time by the campfire.
