Zanzibar-Fly into Nyerere National Park

Your luxury safari adventure begins with an optional early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to Zanzibar Airport at approximately 04:30 AM. Board your scheduled flight departing at 07:00 AM to Nyerere National Park, arriving at Mtemere Airstrip around 08:00 AM.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and begin an exciting game drive through one of Africa’s largest and most untouched wildlife sanctuaries, covering over 50,000 sq. km. Nyerere National Park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, African wild dogs, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elands, and many species of antelope.

You'll enjoy a scenic bush picnic lunch surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness before continuing with an afternoon game drive. As the sun sets, you proceed to your luxury camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the bush.

Full Game Drive & Boat Safari in Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, you depart for a full day of safari activities in Nyerere National Park. Formerly part of the famous Selous Game Reserve, this remarkable park offers a more exclusive and authentic safari experience away from the crowds.

You spend the morning exploring the park’s diverse landscapes during a game drive, with opportunities to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare African wild dog. The park’s mixture of open plains, woodlands, lakes, and river systems creates spectacular scenery and excellent wildlife viewing.

In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a relaxing boat safari along the Rufiji River, one of the highlights unique to Nyerere National Park. You'll glide past hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and stunning sunset views over the water.
You return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Walking Safari – Fly Back to Zanzibar

Early in the morning, you depart for Mloka Village, where your guided walking safari begins. Accompanied by an experienced security and local tracker, explore the African bush on foot and discover the smaller wonders of the wilderness while learning about animal tracks, plants, and the surrounding ecosystem.

Walking safaris offer a completely different perspective of the African wilderness and provide a thrilling close-to-nature experience.

After the activity, you'll return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out preparations. Later, you'll transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, where your luxury fly-in safari comes to an end.
