Entebbe to Murchison Falls NP

After an early morning breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park, the most beautiful protected area in Uganda. We will have a Stop Over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakitoma where Rhinos are being rehabilitated in Uganda and learn about the conservation efforts for the Rhinos, do tracking of the Rhinos for about 2 Hours. There after we shall have Lunch at Kabalega’s dinner and continue to Murchison Falls National park. After entering the Park gates as we head to the lodge, our self guided game drive will have started as we will be viewing animals like baboons, elephants, warthogs, elephants etc. as we drive to our lodge for an evening rest and relaxation.

Early Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early morning Game Drive on the Bulge, Albert or Queens tracks north of river Nile. You will view wild life familiar with savannah grasslands like Giraffes, Antelopes, Lions, Elephants and the Uganda Kob Oribis, Waterbucks, and a variety of savannah woodland birds. You will also be able to view other wildlife such as the Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, Oribi, bushbucks, bohor reed bucks, hyenas, & on rare cases Leopards. Return to the lodge for lunch. At 14.00hrs after lunch, you will go on a Boat cruise for Wildlife viewing at close quarters; this is a paradise for hippos and crocodiles. There are also a variety of birds like Herons, King Fishers, Skimmers, Fish eagle and the rare shoe bill on occasions. You will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile being forced in a seven-meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades that can be viewed at different points. Return to the lodge in the evening for relaxation.

Early Game drive and Top of the Falls Hike to the Bottom

In the Morning after your breakfast we head out for another game drive in the Murchison falls National Park home of vast tropical forest habitats on the way to the top of the Murchison falls which is 7metres wide & 43metres deep. The rapid water is forced through a narrow gap in the rock before ferociously plunging downstream in what is termed as the “Devil’s Caldron” You will enjoy a hike to the bottom as you marvel at the mighty falls in series of cascades that can be viewed at different points.

Return to Entebbe via Kampala

After an early morning breakfast, we will check out and embark on your journey back to Kampala, you will take the southern sector of the park to see the beautiful Rabongo Forest or Kaniyo Pabidi, home to several families of chimpanzees & interact with local communities to discover the livelihood of the local people and there way of life. We will have a lunch stop in Masindi at the Oldest hotel in Uganda which is Masindi Hotel and there after we will proceed to Kampala in the evening. Your safari guide will drop you off to your hotel.
