This national park is often people's favourite park on the northern safari circuit outside of the Serengeti since there is so much wildlife waiting around every corner and this is the park to visit if you want to see the big cats outside of the Serengeti.
Thanks to a heterogenous array of topography which provides lots of different plant and tree species ample room to grow, a diverse array of herbivores has been attracted to the area, which is why Tarangire National Park is the “Home of the Elephants” in Tanzania, along with lots of other species including buffalo, eland, gemsbok, zebra, wildebeest et al. Naturally, this attracts the attention of the predators that are always following closely behind their prey, the lions, leopards, cheetah, caracal, serval, jackal et al.
While there are no guarantees, nine times out of ten safaris, you are likely to see a cheetah, a leopard, and a lion in Tarangire National Park, the best chance to see a leopard outside the Serengeti.

After leaving Manyara Safari Lodge in the morning, you will arrive at Heritage Camps and Lodges Luxury Tented Camp in the afternoon, located right in the beating heart of the Serengeti, the perfect place to start your safari in earnest in search of experiences that you will cherish fondly for a lifetime.
The Serengeti National Park, meaning endless plains in the Maasai language, is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas, Tanzania's oldest national park, and a continued source of inspiration for every creative soul that comes to visit, including wildlife photographers and filmmakers alike.
The Serengeti is truly a magical place that is an absolute must for any safari itinerary and due to the logistics of reaching the park, a minimum of two nights is highly recommended.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a veritable fishbowl filled to the brim with a diverse array of wildlife, the hollowed out remains of a shield volcano which one stood higher than Mount Kilimanjaro, the Roof of Africa, which erupted two million years ago to create the twenty one kilometre wide national park we know and love today.
The main attraction of the Ngorongoro Crater is the incredibly rare black rhino population of over fifty individuals, which are supported by the year round water supply and lush vegetation due to the volcanic soil, along with one of the densest population of predators in the world, including lion, hyena, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site beside a hippo pool so you can eat a sandwich right next to some sleeping hippos, which is every bit as incredible as it sounds!
The Ngorongoro Crater National Park is a must for anyone who wants the chance to see all of the big five: leopard, rhino, buffalo, lion & elephant.

Travel Back in Time With the Hadzabe People: A unique cultural experience that should not be missed
Spend the day with the Hadzabe people, one of the last ancient hunter-gatherer groups in Africa, who inhabit the land near Lake Eyasi, a gorgeous soda lake, part of the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, and soak in the experience of the Hadza people's traditional way of life.
The Hadza speak a unique language known as Hadzane, which incorporates clicking and popping sounds as well as more familiar sounds. According to their own history, which they preserve through oral tradition, the Hadza have lived in their current environment bordering the Serengeti plains since their first days as a unique group. This is relatively close to the spot where Homo habilis, one of the earliest hominids, lived 1.9 million years ago. Genetically, the Hadza show one of the oldest lineages of contemporary humans.
Guests will have the opportunity to engage with the charismatic Bushmen and learn all about their time-honoured hunting techniques, survival skills, food preparation and cultural norms.

Situated on the east coast of this fabulous island, Paje is essentially a huge, long strip of white sand bordered by a small village on one side and a collection of beachfront accommodation services and eateries, as well as turquoise waters on the other, making Horizons Hotel Paje is the perfect place to relax.
On the beach you are welcome to wear bikinis and swimming shorts, but if you head into the village, kindly exercise a bit more modesty.
You’ll likely see local women collecting seaweed at low tide in Paje, who turn the seaweed into soap, which is sold locally via a women’s cooperative, which is a good way to sustainably support the community since the soap is fantastic, comes wrapped in a banana leaf and can be bought in local shops.
Paje is known for its water sports, especially kitesurfing and scuba diving, and is a very popular place for tourists visiting the island, so if you are looking to relax and unwind or enjoy a party at night, this is the place to visit.

This remote village is a quiet fishermen village which has kept its rustic charms, with no massive tourism resorts dominating the beach, like they do in Nungwi. The beach is called Michamvi Kae, a stunning, white sand pristine beach with blue turquoise water colours, that really portrays the postcard picture perfect feel of a tropical island beach paradise of the Indian Ocean.
Michamvi's white-sand, palm shaded beaches and clear, blue sea are a haven for honeymooners and rest-seekers who wish to escape the touristy crowds in Paje or Nungwi.
Bordered on one side by an unbroken band of swaying coconut palms and on the other by the Indian Ocean’s turquoise waters, Michamvi’s beaches are the firm focus of this paradisiacal peninsula.

In all of Zanzibar’s East Coast, the beach slopes very little. Consequently, when the tide is out, the water retreats a long way, allowing for unique inter-tidal exploration along the exposed reef. Guided trips showcase stunning starfish, clams and colourful tropical fish and offer fascinating insight into reef life.
For an even more immersive view, the nearby fringe reef, which runs the length of the island, offers divers, snorkellers and swimmers super encounters with vibrant marine life. Both complete beginners and more experienced divers are well catered for in Michamvi, with the beautiful Blue Lagoon and well-organised trips to the reef readily available, along with dolphin snorkelling trips.
Next to Kobe House is a Mangrove Swamp which can be explored with a traditional wood catamaran with the opportunity to take a swim in the natural blue lagoon where the ocean and the mangrove meet.
