Full-Day Game Drive at Nyerere National Park

Your day begins early with a 5:00 am pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar for a transfer to the airport to catch your 6:00 am flight to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, your professional safari guide will meet you at the airstrip and give a short briefing about the day’s adventure before you begin your game drive.

You’ll start the morning exploring the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife while enjoying breakfast in the bush. Afterward, you’ll continue your game drive, searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, and other incredible species that call Nyerere home.

In the afternoon, you’ll stop for a delicious lunch before continuing with your game drive until evening. Later, you’ll head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Full-Day Game Drive

After breakfast at the lodge, you will be picked up at 7:00 AM by your driver–guide for another full day game drive in Nyerere National Park. The drive will take you through different areas of the park, giving you another opportunity to explore its rich wildlife and landscapes. During the safari you may encounter animals such as elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and many species of birds while enjoying the natural beauty of the park. A stop will be made at a suitable location within the park to enjoy a packed lunch before continuing the game drive in the afternoon. In the late afternoon, you will return to the lodge where you can relax and spend the evening at leisure.

Sunrise Boat Safari, Maasai Visit & Village Tour

Your day starts early with a 6:30 am departure for a peaceful sunrise boat safari along the Great Rufiji River. Enjoy about 1.5 hours on the water as you spot hippos, crocodiles, and colorful birdlife in the soft morning light. After the boat safari, return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out to visit a local Maasai community. Learn about their unique traditions and daily life, then continue with a village tour where you’ll visit a school, meet students, and explore the local market for an authentic cultural experience. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before your 4:30 pm flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel, ending a memorable day filled with wildlife, culture, and scenic beauty.
