Day 1

Picked up at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, your journey begins with a visit to the last-minute supermarket in Arusha Town for any essentials. Then, head to Tarangire National Park via The Great Northern Highway, crossing the Masai steppe and picturesque villages.

Tarangire is renowned for its majestic Baobab trees and large elephant herds. Expect to encounter wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, hippos, baboons, and various antelope species, along with the impressive African elephant. Bird enthusiasts will delight in the park's 400+ recorded bird species, including rarities like the Ash Staling, Great Kudu, and fringed Eared Oryx.

Predators like lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and elusive leopards also call this park home. Tarangire plays a pivotal role in the annual migratory cycle, hosting thousands of elephants, wildebeests, and zebras. In the late evening, drive to Siafu Serenity Lodge at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, a short drive takes you to Lake Manyara National Park for a thrilling game drive. This park boasts diverse habitats, including underground water forests, acacia woodlands, swamps, cliffs adorned with baobabs, hot springs, and the expansive lake.

These diverse environments support a wide range of animal species and abundant bird life. Lake Manyara is famous for having the world's largest concentration of baboons and iconic tree-climbing lions.
