Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport ) you will be met by The Habitat Adventures Travel’s representative and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha for overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park (approximately 149 km (926 mi) & 25hrs drive)
Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, you will be picked up by your private driver guide and take you straight to Tarangire National Park which takes approximately 2 hours. Tarangire N. P is one of the largest parks of Tanzania that covers an area of 2,600 square kilometres. Tarangire National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees. It also has a mini-wildlife migration that takes place during the dry season which consists of about 250,000 animals enter the park. More than 300-strong herds of elephant, visitors will find big groups of buffalo and healthy populations of lions and leopards. There are wild dogs and rare antelopes such as gerenuk, plus more than 550 species of birds to spot throughout the year. You will have picnic lunch boxes where you will have them inside the park in the afternoon. After lunch and further game viewing, you will drive straight to your accommodation in Karatu for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Lake Eyasi Activities
After breakfast at your hotel in Karatu, you will head straight to Lake Eyasi for activities. The Hadzabe Bushmen live in and around Lake Eyasi which is found on the southeast of Ngorongoro Highlands.
Once you are there you will visit the Hadzabe community and learn about their different traditions and daily life whereby you will get an opportunity to hunt with them, practice bow and arrow skills and learn about fruit picking with the women. You will also visit the Datoga community and about their art of blacksmith. You will learn the process from when metal is smelted and make different jewelry and arrows. After doing these activities, you will have lunch and drive back to Karatu region for your further relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
Early morning after breakfast, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro conservation area whereby you stop at the view point of Ngorongoro crater before you descend down the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 square kilometres, with sides up to 600 metres deep and is home to approximately 30,000 mammals. The crater floor consists of different habitats that include grassland and Lakes filled by the Munge River. The crater offers a breathtakingly beautiful scenery and is the best place in East Africa to see the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and rarely leopard). The Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent birding, with over 500 species. You will have packed picnic lunch boxes with you and after having lunch at the picnic site, you will proceed with game drive until the late afternoon where you will ascend the crater and drive straight to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Mto Wa Mbu Activities
After breakfast at your accommodation in Karatu, we drive straight to Mto Wa Mbu Village for a cultural tour.
Here, around 120 tribes are found in the village. It's a cross-cultural melting pot with probably the most exotic mix of languages and customs found anywhere in Tanzania.
During your visit in this village, you will have a lot of opportunities to experience and learn about the cultural ways of life of different tribes in this area. You will also get a chance to visit the local schools and farms in the area where rice and banana are grown. You can also have a lesson on how local brew is made from the crops grown in the area and have a cup of it.
After these activities, you will end up in a Swahili cooking lesson where you will learn how the local tasty food is made and participate in the process before having a delicious plate of cooked food and fresh fruits.
Later in the afternoon after lunch, you will head to Arusha.
