After an early breakfast, a representative from our company will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Kigali. This individual will serve as your driver and guide, providing you with a briefing about your trip as you travel to the Rwanda-Uganda border at Katuna. During the journey, you will pass through the lush countryside, characterized by rolling hills, which has earned Rwanda the nickname "the land of a thousand hills."

Upon arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon, you will check into your lodge. After lunch, you will participate in a Batwa cultural visit. Following this experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali International Airport

After enjoying an early breakfast at your lodge, you will be taken to the park offices for a briefing on the dos and don'ts of gorilla trekking. Following the briefing, you will embark on your trek through the dense vegetation of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Tracking gorillas in this area can be quite challenging, as it involves navigating rugged terrain, including steep slopes and valleys. The jungle is filled with vibrant forest sounds, which add to the experience. The trek may last between 2 and 8 hours, and you will have one hour to spend with the gorillas once they are located. After your trek, you will return to the park offices and from there, head to the border for your crossing into Rwanda. Once in Rwanda, you will be driven to Kigali to catch your evening flight or dropped off at your hotel, depending on your itinerary.
