On arrival at Skukuza (or Nelspruit) Airport, you will be transferred by road to the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve and spend the first 2 nights of your safari at Umkumbe Safari Lodge.
Nestled along the Sand River in Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Umkumbe Safari Lodge offers luxury suites with contemporary African décor and private decks overlooking the river.
Your spacious accommodation includes a private deck where you can unwind while watching wildlife come to drink at the water's edge.
Watch wildlife drink at the water's edge from your accommodation or the main lodge's elevated wooden deck. The open-plan lodge seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring comfortable lounge and dining areas. Enjoy sunrise coffee, leisurely meals, and sunset dinners with river views. Transfer to Timabvati and Bateleur Safari Camp
Transfer to Timabvati and Bateleur Safari Camp
After your morning drive & breakfast, you will be transferred to Bateleur Safari Camp. Set in the pristine Timbavati, this intimate camp features lovely safari tents that blend luxury with authentic safari charm. This area has outstanding game viewing and where daily game drives and extended bush walks are offered under the watchful guidance of qualified rangers and trackers.
Bateleur's main area has a lounge and dining area leading out to the wooden deck and swimming pool with great views over the surrounds and waterhole. Adjacent to the main area is the traditional outdoor boma; the perfect place to congregate after a busy day getting acquainted with the bush. Here, evening dinners are prepared by the head chef, straight over the open flames. An authentic bush dining at its very best! As an eco-conscious establishment, the entire camp and staff village is run entirely on solar power.
Each tent is comfortable with large mesh windows, a sitting space outside and ensuite bathrooms.
