Early in the morning our professional driver will pick you up from your hotel at 4 Am and transfer you to Zanzibar Airport. You'll begin your safari in Zanzibar and take a short flight to the impressive Nyerere National Park previously known as Selous Game Reserve. Our driver guide will welcome you to the Mtemere Airstrip and provide a tour plan. This vast wilderness boasts a diverse range of African treasures, including wildlife, birds, rivers, lakes, and more. Keep an eye out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and a myriad of other captivating creatures. As the day unfolds, you'll enjoy a hearty packed lunch and some well-deserved relaxation. Then, the adventure continues with more game drives, taking you into the enchanting African wilderness until the sun sets. Finally, you'll be escorted to your lodge for a delightful dinner and an overnight.

Day 2

Your day begins with an early bush walk led by a local bushman who will guide you through the wilderness, showing you animal tracks, plants and the small details that make the bush so unique. After the walk, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast. Around 10 am, you’ll head out for a visit to a Maasai village followed by a tour of the nearby local village, giving you the chance to learn about their traditions, lifestyle and daily activities. You’ll return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy some time to relax. Later in the afternoon, around 4 pm, you’ll depart for a sunset boat safari on the Great Rufiji River where you can watch hippos, crocodiles and birdlife as the sun sets over the water. After the boat safari you’ll head back to the lodge for the evening.

You'll indulge in a hearty breakfast to kickstart your day before embarking on an unforgettable journey into the vast expanse of the Selous Game Reserve. Here, you'll be greeted by a multitude of elephants, majestic buffaloes, a pride of lions, graceful giraffes, striped zebras, and graceful impalas. Selous is renowned for its high population of African wild dogs, surpassing any other national park in Tanzania.
Our experienced driver-guide will lead you to Beho Beho Chemka hot spring. This oasis boasts a natural spring with warm, inviting waters, perfect for a refreshing swim.
During the day, you'll pause for a picnic lunch, savoring delicious food from a safe vantage point. Here, you'll have the chance to soak in the breathtaking scenery while keeping a keen eye out for wildlife in their indigenous habitat.
Then around 5 pm, your journey will bring you back to the lodge. A delectable dinner awaits then an overnight stay ensures you're ready for more incredible adventures tomorrow.

On this day, you’ll check out early and head to the airstrip to catch your 7:00 am flight back to Zanzibar. When you arrive in Zanzibar, your driver will be waiting at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel, bringing your trip to a smooth and easy finish.
