Day 1

Zanzibar to Tarangire - The Baobab Wonderland

Zanzibar to Tarangire - The Baobab Wonderland

Depending on where you’ll be staying in Zanzibar, a driver will come to pick you up at 5:00 a.m. and drive you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. You’ll arrive in Arusha at 9:20 a.m. where a professional guide will be waiting to greet and brief you on the journey you’re about to embark.

After the briefing, you'll then drive for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire National Park is notable for its old baobab trees, tree-climbing pythons, and the biggest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

You'll also explore the landscape and the rich flora and fauna inside the park. You will marvel at the African elephant, a zebra, or a majestic cheetah in pursuit of prey.

Following a midday picnic lunch, you'll resume the afternoon game drive before driving to Kitela Luxury Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

This stunning place will offer you almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino(you'll be the luckiest traveler if you spot one).

Lunch will then be served at the crater's base about lunchtime near a hippo lake and after that. Now you'll have two options to pick from.

You could wait in the park and go for an afternoon game drive. Or you could take your last photos in the park and head back to Kili Season Luxury Lodge for a nice evening swimming session and relaxation.

Arusha National Park then Zanzibar

After breakfast, you'll leave Kili Season Luxury Lodge and begin your journey to Arusha National Park and get there in just sixty minutes.

Arusha National Park has a mix of different plants like swamps, grasslands, and forests. Mount Meru's slopes are covered in rainforests, and the park is home to cool animals like black-and-white colobus monkeys and flamingos at Momella Lake.

Many animals and birds, including flamingos, are drawn to this special environment. A walking safari lets you see these animals up close.
