Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, proceed through the security checkpoint, where officials will check your passport and visa to verify your identity. After completing immigration and collecting your luggage, exit the terminal where you will be met by a Kojuu Safaris driver-guide holding a sign with your name. You will be warmly welcomed, assisted with your luggage, and transferred comfortably to your hotel in Arusha city.

Drive to Tarangire National Park for game drive

After breakfast, your Kojuu Safaris guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is one of Africa’s hidden gems, perfect for lovers of wilderness and solitude. Named after the Tarangire River, the park’s only water source during the dry season, it features a unique landscape with ancient baobab trees—considered by the Maasai as the first tree ever created—and towering termite mounds. The dry season turns the earth a dusty red, while the wet season brings lush grasses and dense bush. In the evening, you’ll return to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Though smaller in mammal numbers compared to other Northern Circuit parks, Lake Manyara offers a unique experience with its scenic landscapes, including the Rift Valley, dense woodlands, and stunning mountainsides. Located about 130 km from Arusha, roughly a two-hour drive, it’s a perfect starting point for your adventure. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Game drive Serengeti National Park

The sounds of Africa awaken you from sleep. After freshening up, head to the main area for breakfast. Following breakfast, your driver-guide will take you on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. If you love wildlife, this is the perfect place. Home to around 3,000 lions—the real-life Mufasa, Nala, Simba, and Scar—the Serengeti offers plenty of chances to see these majestic cats lounging under trees. You’ll also encounter bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, and birds like the kori bustard and Fischer’s lovebird. As the afternoon fades, return to your lodge inside the park, boasting spectacular views, for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Game drive Ngorongoro Crater later drive to Kilimanjaro Airport

Today, you will drive to the 8th Wonder of the World—the Ngorongoro Crater—for a full-day game drive. Known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” this well-preserved volcanic caldera is a sanctuary for diverse wildlife. Located 190 km from Arusha, the crater’s grasslands, forests, and swamps create a stunning landscape. Its permanent water source supports over 25,000 large mammals, including leopards, lions, black rhinos, hyenas, zebras, waterbucks, and baboons. After ascending from the crater floor, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your 8:00 p.m. flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your beach hotel for an overnight stay. (Flight from Kilimanjaro Airport to Zanzibar is included).
