2-Day Zanzibar to Mikumi Flight Safari

Zanzibar - Mikumi National Park

You will arrive at ZNZ Airport and board your flight to Mikumi at 9:30 am. At Mikumi Airstrip, you will be met by our driver guide. You will then proceed to do the afternoon game drive in the national park. A lunch break will be taken for you to enjoy a bush lunch at the Mikumi Cottage restaurant inside the park while watching a few baboons outside the restaurant.
You will continue to explore the abundant wildlife at Mikumi Tanzania after your lunch break in the comfort of your seat on an open-sided or open–roof safari jeep.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the comfortable Camp Bastian Lodge.

Mikumi National Park - Zanzibar

After your breakfast today, you will visit the nearby Maasai community village for a cultural tour. This will be followed up by entry into the national park gates for game drives. You will stop at the Cottages restaurant for a hot and fresh lunch, then depart to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar.
Departure time: Mikumi to Zanzibar 2:15 pm
You will arrive in Zanzibar at 4:15 pm

Animals that may be seen at Mikumi National Park:
- Elephants – Mikumi has a sizable population of elephants.
- Lions – Lions are common in Mikumi, keep an eye out for them, especially during late mornings or late afternoon Game Drives on day 1.
- Giraffes – As you approach Mikumi you are likely to spot Giraffes, gracefully moving through the Savannah.
- Zebras and Wilderbeest – The park has plentiful of Zebras and wilderbeests.
- Buffaloes – Large herds of buffaloes are often seen in Mikumi.
- Impalas are also plentiful at Mikumi Park.
A variety of birdlife is also found in Mikumi.
