Day 2

Your Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation post-breakfast. The approximately two and a half-hour drive to Tarangire National Park on well-maintained tarmac roads follows the course of the Tarangire River, the primary water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Known for its elephant families congregating by the river, the park also features giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, attracting predators like lions and leopards.

Tarangire boasts more breeding bird species than any other place on Earth, and its landscape is adorned with ancient Baobab trees, some believed to have stood for over a thousand years. Today, rise early for a sunrise safari, capturing the animals in their most active state against the stunning backdrop of the African savannah. The sunrise is a breathtaking experience. Following the game drive, return to camp for brunch before heading to Ngorongoro, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.

With towering 2,000ft walls and a vast crater floor spanning 102sq miles, the crater serves as a virtual Noah's Ark, hosting nearly every East African wildlife species, including the elusive black rhino.

After breakfast, descend 600m into the stunning Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. Renowned as one of Africa's most densely populated wildlife areas, it shelters around 30,000 animals, including Tanzania's last black rhinos.

With a consistent water supply, the crater is home to diverse wildlife such as wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants.

The park's allure extends to its rich predator population, featuring lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopards. A picnic lunch within the crater adds to the experience. Later, ascend and head towards Arusha town.
