Zanzibar to Lake Manyara National Park

After landing at Arusha Airport, our safari team will pick you up and start a leisurely drive through a scenic landscape. It only takes 2 hours to get to the park gate. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions and also being a Great Rift Valley park. In the afternoon, we will take a 40-minute break at a beautiful picnic site where bathrooms are available and here is where you will have lunch. In the late afternoon, we will leave the park and head to Mto wa Mbu, where we will stop by the village to taste local foods and drinks before proceeding to our accommodation.

Day highlights: Starts in Zanzibar to Arusha Airport and Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara National Park to Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar

On the second day, you will have breakfast, then we will drive to Ngorongoro Crater. The earlier we go, the more we increase our odds of seeing all the Big Five animals. The Ngorongoro Crater is a beautiful caldera with a ring-like wall surrounding it. This 260 square kilometres (100 square miles) area is home to more than 30,000 animals and more than 500 species of birds. Proceeding with a game drive in the afternoon, we will take a 40-minute stop for lunch and bathroom use at a picnic site near a hippo pool. After lunch, we will drive back to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport, where you will catch a plane to Zanzibar. Arrival in Arusha will be between 4:30pm and 5:00pm.
