Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Nairobi Airport/hotel as you travel north through Kenya’s central highlands, passing through lush tea and coffee plantations on your way to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located near Nanyuki on the Laikipia Plateau. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your lodge or camp, nestled within the conservancy and offering stunning views of Mount Kenya.

After lunch and some time to relax, you’ll head out on your first afternoon game drive, exploring the conservancy’s rich savannahs in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, and even the rare African wild dog. As the sun sets over the landscape, return to your lodge for dinner and an evening spent at leisure under the stars.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

The day is dedicated to exploring Ol Pejeta’s incredible wildlife and conservation experiences. After breakfast, set out on a morning game drive, with the chance to visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see rescued chimpanzees. Continue your drive across the conservancy, where both black and white rhinos roam freely, and the elusive leopard may make an appearance.

In the afternoon, you may choose to visit the Endangered Species Enclosure, home to the world’s last two northern white rhinos, or take part in an optional activity such as a guided bush walk or a night game drive to witness the conservancy’s nocturnal wildlife (extra costs). Return to your camp for dinner and a restful evening.

On your final morning, enjoy a short sunrise game drive or take in the peaceful surroundings of your camp. Drop-off can be arranged at your hotel or the airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
