Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

Today morning, You will be picked from your place of residence in Kigali and kick start your journey to the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park through Mirama hill boarder. It is a scenic drive through small farms of coffee and tea plantations among others. On arrival, You will check in and the start game drive to look out for grazers and cats in open plains of kasenyi where you will be able spot elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs and hippos among others. Later retire at your lodge.

Today after breakfast you will take a game drive, traverse through the magnificent plain landscapes Queen Elizabeth National Park looking out for elephants, lions, Impalas, bushbucks, buffaloes, leopards and many others, later in the afternoon go for boat cruise along the 45km long Kazinga Channel popular for its big number of Hippopotamus population in Africa.

Transfer to Bwindi

After a morning cup of African coffee, engage in a journey to bwindi. On your way you’ll see do game drive through ishasha sector southern part of the park famous for tree climbing lions and other savannah goers like, elephants water bucks, jackals and flocks of unfamiliar bird species. Then proceed to bwindi impenetrable national park.

Gorilla trekking and transfer to kigali

After breakfast, we will assemble at the Park Offices for a detailed briefing before heading out on foot to track Mountain Gorilla with guides from the local community. This exclusive experience is a real privilege, as group sizes are limited and only one group is allowed to view each gorilla group each day. So, viewing permits are almost as scarce as the gorillas! On occasions the Gorillas prove elusive, but often can be found within an hour or more by the expert local tracker guides.

It is a very emotionally moving once in a lifetime experience to stare in to the eyes of these gentle giants and watch them play and go about their daily activities. Each encounter with the gorillas is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the young frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. On our return we will kick start a 3-4hour drive to Kigali reaching in the evening.
