1-Day Rwanda Golden Monkey Trekking Volcanoes NP Trip

Your driver-guide will pick you up from your Kigali hotel at 4:30 am with a packed breakfast for the journey. The drive to Volcanoes National Park takes about 2.5 to 3.5 hours through scenic countryside. Upon arrival, you will be briefed before beginning your trek to see the endangered golden monkeys. Found in bamboo thickets on the lower volcanic slopes, these lively primates are known for their unique golden-orange coats and playful leaps through the forest. After the trek, you will proceed to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, also called the Gorilla Museum. Here you will explore interactive exhibits, learn about gorilla research and conservation, and gain deeper insight into Dian Fossey’s remarkable work. In the afternoon, begin your return journey to Kigali where your driver will drop you at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
