Nairobi to Tsavo East

You will be picked from your hotel and transferred to the railway station to catch the 08:00 am train to Voi, arriving at around 12:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, you will be met by our guide who will then take you to Leopard’s Lair Lodge, situated in Lumo Conservancy. The Conservancy is tucked between Taita Hills and Tsavo West National Park. You will check-in, have lunch and later enjoy a well deserved rest.
At 4.00 p.m. you will go for your evening game drive until 6.00 p.m. you will head back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast, you will leave for an extensive game drive. You will carry with you picnic lunch boxes. You will drive through the open savannah and the dense woodlands across the conservancy. The baobab and acacia trees adorn the Lumo ecosystem.
The conservancy also acts as a habitat to iconic lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, Grant's gazelles, and elands, among an array of wildlife. The ecosystem is also a haven for birdwatching consisting of a recorded number of approximately 300 different species of birds with the crowned cranes and the African fish eagle being the most common and easily sighted.

At lunchtime, the guide will identify a safe and secure spot in the savannah where you will have your picnic lunch. After enjoying your lunch, you will embark on yet another game drive en route to the lodge arriving at around 4.30 p.m.
Following a soul stirring experience, dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Tsavo East

Today, you may opt for an early morning game drive within the conservancy. After the drive, you will culminate the experience with a bush breakfast.
After enjoying your breakfast, you may opt to relax throughout the morning hours or make a tour of the local cultural villages. In the villages, you will interact with the local communities in different daily activities that they are involved in.
These activities include but are not limited to dancing, farming, beading, and other different crafts.
You will later return to the lodge and enjoy a well deserved hot lunch, take some time to relax, or have an afternoon siesta.
At 4.00 p.m. you will embark on your evening game drive until 6.00 p.m. when you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Optional:
You may opt to go for a night game drive. Before or after dinner, you may choose to try your luck in sighting some of the nocturnal wildlife. You may sight the elusive leopard, aardwolves, serval cats, and aardvarks among others.

Tsavo East National Park to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, you will check-out and later have a game viewing drive en route to the exit of the conservancy. You will then be driven to Voi SGR train station to catch the 9.55 a.m. train to Nairobi, arriving at 14:30 pm.

Upon arrival at the SGR train station in Nairobi, you will be picked by our guide and proceed to a Nairobi hotel for lunch and later be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home. We believe that you have had memorable experiences throughout the safari to cherish and share with family and friend's. We look forward to hosting you again for another adventure.
