Arrival in Arusha – Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater for Game Drive

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, you will be welcomed by your guide and begin your safari adventure right away. After a short briefing, depart in your private 4x4 vehicle toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers beautiful views of rural Tanzania, scattered villages, and lush highlands.

In the afternoon, descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for your first game drive. Often referred to as “Africa’s Eden,” the crater is home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in the world—including lions, elephants, zebras, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, followed by more game viewing.

After the safari, drive up to your lodge located on or near the crater rim. Enjoy dinner and relax with views over this ancient caldera.

After breakfast, begin your scenic overland journey to the Central Serengeti. As you leave the highlands behind, the landscape gradually opens into the vast and iconic Serengeti plains. Along the way, enjoy en-route game viewing as you travel through diverse ecosystems and natural wildlife corridors.

Upon arrival in the Central Serengeti, proceed with a game drive en route to your tented camp. This central region, also known as the Seronera area, is renowned for its high concentration of wildlife throughout the year. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large herds of grazing animals as you explore this game-rich area. After the game drive, check in at your camp, enjoy dinner, and relax under the stars surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Today is dedicated to exploring the Northern Serengeti. With a full day to roam this remote area, your guide will focus on getting you close to the action—especially around the Mara River, where dramatic river crossings take place as wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. Expect to see predators like lions, leopards, and hyenas, along with elephants, giraffes, and antelope.

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue game driving into the afternoon. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight, with time to relax and share stories by the campfire.

After an early breakfast, begin your return drive to Arusha. Stop for lunch en route and arrive in Arusha by late afternoon. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
