On arrival at Kasane Airport, you will be transferred to Chobe Bakwena Lodge, nestled in riverine forest on the banks of the Chobe River. This owner-run lodge is a real gem in Kasane, and its professional local guides lead game drives and boat cruises into Chobe National Park.
The main areas overlook the river, with dining and lounge spaces opening onto a welcoming pool area, ideal for relaxing between activities. Chobe Bakwena offers accommodation in 15 chalets, each air-conditioned with indoor and outdoor showers and a generous shaded deck.
Chobe is best known for its elephant population, among the largest in Africa, with herds regularly seen along the riverfront, particularly in the dry season from May to October. The park is also home to large buffalo herds, lion, and prolific birdlife along the floodplains.
