Kigali Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Your private guide with a safari 4WD vehicle, meets and greets you at your Hotel in Kigali. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Museum to pay your last respects to victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against Tutsi before leaving the lively capital. You will drive north-west through lush hills and bustling market towns for approximately 2.5 hours, to the stunning Volcanoes National Park —well known as the venue for Dian Fossey's pioneering studies of the mountain gorillas. Your overnight stay will be at Muhabura Hotel or similar.

Golden Monkey Volcanoes NP, Rwanda - Bwindi Impenetrable NP, Uganda

An early morning breakfast will be followed by a transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a golden monkey tracking briefing. Then, you'll hike up into the rainforest to a troop of golden monkeys. Once you find them like gorillas, you’re allowed to stay with them for an hour. After the day experience, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Your overnight stay will be at Gorilla Mist Camp or similar.

Uganda Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the ranger station for Uganda gorilla trekking briefing on dos and don’ts while you will be interacting with gorillas. Afterward, you will be accompanied by a senior ranger guide and hike into the forest in search of gorillas. Once you find them you usually have an hour with them. You'll have time to sit and observe them at very close quarters of 10 meters. After the experience, you will return to the lodge. Your overnight stay will be at Gorilla Mist Camp or similar.

Upon arrival in Kigali, Rwanda your driver-guide will be advised on the drop-off point or at your hotel or the airport targeting your outbound departure time.
