Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. On the eastern side, you will see the Great Rift Valley where animals like elephants, buffalo, zebra, monkeys, and a variety of birds can be observed. From this vantage point, you can also see the rim crater. The mass concentration of wild animals you will see from the rim can also be found inside the huge crater of Ngorongoro. This is undoubtedly the best place to see black rhinos, as well as the pride of lions that include the magnificent black-maned males.

Thousands of colorful flamingoes and a variety of waterbirds includes flamingos can be seen along the lakeshore or filling the skies as they take flight. Predators such as leopard, cheetah, hyena, and lots of members of the antelope family, as well as other small mammals, can also be found. In the late afternoon, you will leave the crater and drive back to Arusha to catch the flight back to Zanzibar.

This is where your safari will end.
