You will be picked up from the O.R. Tambo International Airport. You will be shuttled to your 3-star hotel in Johannesburg where you will be checked in for a good night’s rest before your exciting safari takes off. Spend the night planning for the days ahead and make sure your camera is ready!

Day 2

Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

On an early shuttle, you will departer to Kruger National Park. Refresh before a sunset drive in an open safari vehicle in the Blue Canyon Reserve located near Hoedspruit. Your accommodation is booked at the Sekekama Tented Camp or Dumela Camp (depending on availability) which offers a stunning glamping experience at an affordable rate. After breakfast, it is time for goodbyes and your return trip to Johannesburg. Passing through various towns and landscapes, the journey will give you time to reflect on the first part of your journey and be excited about what lies ahead. You should arrive at your accommodation between 17h00 and 18h00.

Today you will go on a full-day Johannesburg and Soweto tour. You will be picked up from your hotel. Your tour will start at the FNB Soccer Stadium on the outskirts of Soweto. You will visit landmarks around Soweto and Johannesburg such as Constitution Hill, Nelson Mandela Bridge, Carlton Centre, Vilakazi Street, and the Orlando Towers. After the tour, you will be shuttled to the airport for your flight to Cape Town where you will be checked in at a 3-star hotel. Your airport transfer is included while the flight and dinner are excluded.

Embark on a full-day Cape Town city tour which includes a visit to Table Mountain (ticket included). Spend the full day exploring Cape Town region's top attractions. Cape Point is known for its stunning coastal landscapes, rugged cliffs, and the iconic Cape Point lighthouse. Head over to Boulders Beach, located near Simon's Town. This stretch of beach is famous for its colony of African penguins. Walk along the boardwalks and pathways that lead to the viewing platforms (admission is $10 per person).

Visit the V&A Waterfront, a vibrant and iconic destination offering a mix of shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences. Explore the numerous shops and boutiques. Check out the historic Clock Tower and explore the Two Oceans Aquarium. Discover the Chavonnes Battery Museum, an archaeological site that showcases the history of Cape Town's early fortifications. You have a free day to explore the rest of Cape Town at your own pace and to visit additional attractions. You can enjoy breakfast at the City Bowl. Head to the beach at Camps Bay for a day in the sun, stroll through Long Street, or just spend the day relaxing at your hotel.

Today you will go on a half-day wine tour, visiting some of Cape Town's renowned wineries and tasting their exquisite wines. Afterward, we take an afternoon ferry to Robben Island, home of the historical prison where Nelson Mandela was held captive for 27 years. Visit the maximum-security prison section where political prisoners were kept in isolation. Nelson Mandela's cell is a significant point of interest, and visitors can see the conditions under which he lived for a significant portion of his imprisonment. Explore the limestone quarry where prisoners engaged in hard labor. The quarry became a place of shared intellectual discussions and debates among the political prisoners.

After the visit, you will be ferried back to the mainland where you will be taken to your accommodation or the airport.
