Nairobi Wilson - Samburu National Reserve - Elephant Bedroom Camp

Our driver will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel and transfer you Wilson Airport for your domestic flight to Samburu Game Reserve which departs Nairobi at 08:00am and arrive Samburu at 09:30am. From the plane you have a wonderful view of the countryside and can capture the vastness of the reserve. Upon arrival at Samburu you will be met and received by the Elephant Bedroom Camp representative who will transfer you to the camp, usually with a short game drive en-route, though depending on your preference. After lunch you will embark on evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp. Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner.

Samburu National Reserve - Elephant Bedroom Camp

Spend full day in Samburu Game Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives as per the camps schedule. The reserve located in the north provides a strong contrast to other scenic areas in Kenya. In the desert-like landscape is dominated by the yellow-brown savannah grass, interspersed with acacia trees and thorny bushes. Along the many source pools and rivers that run through the region seasonally, growing gallery forest and doum palms. The rivers are colored brown and invite elephant to swim. You have here the opportunity to spot the rare species such as the Grevy’s Zebra or Gerenuk antelope, which are otherwise not found in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp. After breakfast you will be transferred to the Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Mara departing at 08:30am to arrive at 10:30am. Upon landing in the airstrip you will be picked up by the lodge driver and proceed to the lodge with game drive en route. After lunch you will set out for the afternoon game drive. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
