Your morning departure from Arusha will lead you to the captivating Tarangire National Park, named after the meandering river that quenches the thirst of a diverse array of wildlife, including giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras, and a profusion of elephants. This park is home to over 550 different bird species, set against a landscape featuring steep terrain adorned with iconic baobab trees and various grasslands. After an exhilarating morning game drive, you will enjoy a picturesque picnic lunch overlooking the river, followed by more wildlife observation until late afternoon when it's time to bid farewell to the park.

Serengeti National Park

You will embark on a journey to the Serengeti National Park, traversing the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you bid farewell to the highlands, you will descend into the heart of the unspoiled African wilderness—the expansive Serengeti National Park, where vast plains extend as far as the eye can see. Your destination is the central park region, known as the Seronera area, celebrated for its abundant wildlife diversity from aquatic hippos to savanna hunting and grazing animals. This area is home to the Seronera River, a crucial water source that attracts a myriad of Serengeti's wildlife species. Arriving in time for lunch, you will indulge in an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Your dinner and overnight accommodation await at Serengeti Matawi Camp.

After breakfast, you will commence the concluding game drive in Serengeti National Park, joined by a picnic lunch. Later in the day, you will transition to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay on the crater rim. The Ngorongoro Crater is a pivotal destination on your Tanzanian safari, celebrated for its abundant wildlife population. Within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a distinctive conservation effort fosters harmonious coexistence between the Maasai community, their livestock, and the diverse wildlife of the region. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Rhino Lodge.

Following breakfast, you'll set out for Ngorongoro Crater, often hailed as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The moment you catch sight of this expansive, lush caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you'll quickly grasp why it enjoys such a prestigious reputation.
Boasting over 120 mammal species, including the iconic Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area stands as one of the most coveted safari destinations globally. From the luxury of your open-top vehicle, you'll have the opportunity to witness and capture photographs of some of Africa's most iconic creatures. The crater is a haven for numerous predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, along with a substantial population of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, Cape buffaloes, and more. Undoubtedly, it ranks among Africa's foremost safari destinations.
After a day filled with thrills and excitement, you will savor a picnic lunch beside the park's renowned hippo pool before returning to Arusha.
