2 travelers on Start dateWe'll pick you up from your Arusha hotel, and after a 2-3 hour drive, you'll reach Tarangire National Park. This region was once frequented by Hemingway during his big game hunting safaris. However, after the establishment of the national parks in 1970, the seasonal marshes and vast savannah, now transformed into the breathtaking landscape you see today, shifted away from being hunting grounds to protected spaces. Thankfully, today's safari experience is centered around cameras rather than elephant guns.
During the dry season, a visit to the park offers a remarkable natural spectacle. You can witness the beauty of lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, various antelopes, and gazelles. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of a python! A break for lunch at a scenic picnic spot is scheduled around midday, followed by an afternoon dedicated to more wildlife observation. As the day draws to a close, we'll transport you back to your Arusha hotel before sunset.
