Commencing after breakfast at around 8:30 a.m., the journey begins from Moshi, driving to Momella gate. Payment is made, and the climb kicks off with a picnic lunch, heading towards the initial destination, Miriakamba Hut. Dinner and an overnight stay await at Miriakamba Hut, with a trek lasting approximately 3 ½ hours.

Miriakamba -Saddle Hut

Following breakfast, the ascent continues toward the second hut known as Saddle. This segment is notably steeper compared to the initial part, lasting approximately 2 ½ hours. In the afternoon, adventurers have the option to attempt a climb to the Little Meru peak and return. Dinner and overnight accommodations await at Saddle Hut.

Awaken in the middle of the night and savor a cup of tea before embarking on the ascent to the Big Meru peak. Navigate rocky paths to reach the summit and then return to Saddle Hut for a hearty breakfast. The remainder of the day is dedicated to rest. Enjoy lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay at Saddle Hut.

Bid farewell to Saddle Hut and descend to Momella Gate via the first hut, Miriakamba, from where you will be transported to Arusha or Moshi.
