Transfer from Kigali to Mgahinga National Park

After enjoying a relaxing breakfast at Your Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda, your driver guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to brief you about the 3-day gorilla tracking tour at Mgahinga National Park. The tour will start with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Museum to pay respects to the victims of the 1994 Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi. The visit to the museum will take around an hour and a half to two hours, followed by a scenic transfer of 2-3 hours to Mgahinga National Park in Uganda. While at the hotel, you have the option to take a canoe trip, go for a community walk or just relax by the shores of the lake and prepare for the next day's activities.

Mountain gorilla Trekking

After having an early morning breakfast, your driver guide will transport you to the Mgahinga National Park reception for a Gorilla Tracking briefing on the dos and don'ts of interacting with gorillas. After the briefing, ranger guides will accompany you on a hike into the forest to search for gorillas. Once gorillas are found, you will have an hour to stay with them during which you can closely monitor them and take pictures. After the experience, you can return to the lodge to relax or take advantage of the offerings from the lodge.

Transfer from Mgahinga National park to Kigali

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali. The journey will take you through the Kyanika border and the Ruhengeri district, where you will be treated to scenic views. Upon arriving in the city, your driver guide will drop you off at either a hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport, depending on your outbound flight. This marks the end of the tour.
