Day 1

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Mombasa, Diani, or Watamu, followed by a drive inland toward Tsavo East National Park. Upon entering the park, your first game drive begins immediately as you explore Tsavo’s vast red-dust plains, home to large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and more.

Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch, then relax before heading out on an afternoon game drive. The landscape is dotted with baobab trees and waterholes like the Aruba Dam, where animals gather, especially during the dry season. Day 2

Tsavo East to Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, check out and enjoy a final game drive as you exit Tsavo East and travel west toward Amboseli National Park. The journey offers changing scenery and a glimpse of rural Kenya as you make your way to the park, which sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp with views of Africa’s highest mountain.

Later in the afternoon, head out for a game drive in Amboseli’s open plains and swampy wetlands. The park is best known for its large elephant herds, often seen crossing the dusty tracks or cooling off in the marshes. Other sightings may include buffalo, cheetahs, hyenas, and a wide variety of birdlife. After sunset, return to camp for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you leave Amboseli and continue your journey to Tsavo West National Park via the Chyulu Gate. The scenery quickly changes to a more rugged and hilly terrain, characterized by ancient lava flows, acacia woodlands, and volcanic outcrops.

Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, go on a game drive that includes a visit to the famous Mzima Springs, a clear, spring-fed oasis home to hippos, crocodiles, and an array of bird species. The landscape here is strikingly different—lush, green, and full of geological features that give Tsavo West a unique appeal. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
