Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

You'll have an early breakfast and then depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This "river of warthogs" is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the Dry season. In some places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. Giant baobab trees that are over 200 years are scattered within the park. Once you finish the game drive, you will drive to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, drive through Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value. It has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. It is the migration for which the Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November. Once you finish the game drive, you will stay in the park for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

You'll have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park before breakfast. You will then enjoy a mid-afternoon game drive, followed by a picnic lunch served in the park. Many different landscapes can be found in the Serengeti; savannah with the big plains to the south, hills and woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bushland to the north. Important rivers also run through the park. Many different species of mammals can be spotted during game drives including elephants, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, hippos and crocodiles. After a long game drive, you will exit the Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Enjoy an early morning game drive through the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself 2 to 3 million years ago. It is famous for its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations on the African continent. Your driver guide will take you down to the large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grass. Late in the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha.
