Lake Manyara National Park
We will pick you up from your hotel, the Nairobi airport, or your residence and drive you to Lake Manyara. The park derived its name from the Maasai word “manyara,” the Swahili name for the plant Euphorbia tirucalli. The Maasai use this plant to grow livestock stockades, which mature into highly durable stock-proof hedges.
The Great Rift Valley is part of a fault in the earth’s crust that stretches 8,000 kilometers (4,971 miles) from Turkey to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique. The fault is so massive that the Rift Valley was visible when astronauts landed on the moon saw it.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we proceed to Serengeti, Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park. It is famed for its annual migration when some 6 million hooves pound the open plains, and more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest trek for fresh grazing. Yet, even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers a remarkable game-viewing experience in Africa.
