You will arrive in Lusaka, Zambia's capital and one of Africa’s most delightful cities. This metropolitan city offers visitors a traditional and hearty Zambian welcome. Please make your own accommodation arrangements on your first day of arrival.

We recommend that you stay at the StayEasy Hotel in Lusaka because this is the official starting point of the tour. There are no planned activities on the day of arrival in Lusaka. In the evening, we will have a "meet and greet "in the lounge, where you will meet fellow travelers. The tour leader will collect your insurance documentation and safely store it.

Day 2

Today, you will travel by road from Lusaka to Chirundu, a distance of about 90 km. This route is an important commercial artery that crosses the Zambian border and goes to Harare, Zimbabwe. It is always kept in good condition. In Chirundu town, you will have lunch before proceeding off-road to the Lower Zambezi Valley. Upon arriving in the Lower Zambezi Valley, you will check in at the lodge or campsite.

You will do one activity depending on when you arrive at the lodge or campsite in Lower Zambezi. This will most likely be the sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. Otherwise, the trip leader will propose another exciting activity for you.

6:00 pm: Evening relaxation.
7:30 pm: Dinner.
9:30 pm: Bedtime.

5:10 am: Wake up and take a bath.
5:20 – 5:45 am: Enjoy breakfast.
5:45 – 5:55 am: The tour director will give a short briefing on pertinent facts such as personal safety, required eco-tour practices, important country information, and social etiquette.
6:00 am: We will leave for the full-day game cruise on the Lower Zambezi.

Enjoy the scheduled morning and afternoon game activities, which will be explored by canoe/boat and a game-drive vehicle.

Mana Pools Park in Zimbabwe is locally famous as a place where crowds are unknown, walking safaris are preferred, and elephants rule the wilderness and campsites. The park also provides excellent sightings of large herds of buffalos, elands, zebras, baboons, and waterbucks, which are regularly seen in the area. The game is very relaxed about people on foot, making Mana Pools one of Africa’s best national parks for walking safaris.

5:10 am: Wake up and take a bath.
5:20 - 5:45 am: Last sumptuous breakfast.
6:00 am: Check out from Mukuyu Campsite.

By overland transport from the Chirundu Border, you will be transferred to Nyamepi Campsite in Mana Pools National Park. Upon arrival, you will relax and view some resident animals around the campsite. In the evening, have dinner and retire to bed.

Activities in Mana Pools National Park

You will experience a pure African wilderness in solitude in Mana Pools National Park, which is rated as the 5th best park in Africa. Some of the animals you will see are elephant, buffalo, zebra, hippo, hyena, and lion.

Enjoy morning and afternoon activities, including game drives. The camp’s proximity to water means plenty of wildlife at close range to view. Here, you can experience an "armchair safari", where the best wildlife viewing is often experienced while relaxing in camp.
