After landing at Kilimanjaro Airport near Arusha, you will greet at the airport and then drop you off at your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you can decide for yourself on the spot if you would like to receive a short safari briefing with your guide on the same day or the next morning. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at your leisure. Enjoy the hotel and relax, with the next day awaiting you with lots of exciting activities.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your driver-guide will meet you at your hotel after breakfast and, together, you will head to Tarangire National Park with packed lunches for the first game viewing of your Tanzanian safari. There is no better place to enjoy a peaceful authentic safari atmosphere than in Tarangire, famous for its huge elephant herds and towering baobab trees. The park is teeming with wildlife, and you will have good chances of seeing zebras, lesser kudus, elands, gerenuks, and lions. Late afternoon, after a great day in the wild, you will head to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Drive to Lake Eyasi

Drive to Lake Eyasi

After enjoying your breakfast at your hotel, you will set off on a scenic drive through the stunning Tanzanian landscape towards the Hadzabe communities territory. Once you arrive you will be accompanied by a guide to the tribe members who will greet and welcome you in a friendly manner. You will learn about the communities traditional hunting and gathering techniques, which have been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. Next, we will visit the Datoga tribe, known for their exquisite metalwork and craftsmanship. The Datoga people are skilled artisans who make beautiful jewelry, weapons, and household items. You will observe their craft work and even get a chance to try your hand at metalworking, guided by the expert Datoga artisans. As the day draws to a close, you will return to your lodge, where you will have meals and overnight and reflect on the enriching cultural experiences of the day.

Day 4

Karatu to Serengeti National park

Early in the morning after breakfast you will drive from Karatu to Serengeti National Park. The drive to the Serengeti takes several hours, enabling you to enjoy the vastness of the landscape. You will take a break and have a picnic lunch at Naabi Hill Gate, the entry point to the Serengeti, where you can climb the little lookout point, before continuing your journey to your accommodation. On the way there, you might also spot some animals.

At midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. In the afternoon you will continue with your game drive, exploring more of the park and searching for elusive wildlife. On this day you will have an opportunity to descend to the crater floor, a unique ecosystem that supports incredible array of wildlife. As you descend you will be amazed by the breathtaking views of the surrounding highlands and the shimmering lake at the center of the crater. Once on the crater floor, you will embark on an unforgettable game drive, where you will have the opportunity to witness the incredible diversity of flora and fauna components, the guide will share with you fascinating facts about their behavior and habitat. As the day progresses, you will stop for a picnic lunch overlooking the stunning landscape, surrounded by amazing sounds of nature. During the spice tour, visitors can see the spices growing in their natural environment, learn about their medicinal and culinary uses, and even sample some of the fresh produce.
