This morning, you'll drive to Tarangire National Park. The transit trip takes about two and a half hours on well-paved roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which runs through it. During the dry season, the 'river of warthogs' is the only source of water for wildlife in the area. The park is well-known for its elephant families, who can often be seen congregating along the river. You may also witness giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Lions and leopards are among the predators that closely monitor these creatures. Tarangire has the highest concentration of breeding bird species on the planet! Large, ancient Baobab trees can be seen here.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive into the cooler areas of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be an opportunity to visit the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. You will next travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before entering the Serengeti at its southernmost point.
The Serengeti is quite amazing. It is noted for its broad open grasslands, which provide superb wildlife viewing opportunities. While it is abundant with animals, massive herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope migrate annually in search of new grazing grounds. The migration can occur at any time of year; you simply need to know where to look!
You'll enjoy a picnic lunch and spend the night inside the park.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you'll go to Ngorongoro Crater, possibly witnessing more wonders along the way!
Ngorongoro Crater: Beyond the towering volcanic cliffs is a natural ecosystem that includes extensive savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, and stunning lakes and marshes. The Crater was formed two to three million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed on itself.
The trip down into the Crater is an adventure in and of itself, and once there, you'll be surrounded by hundreds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater offers the best chance of sighting the endangered black rhino, which can occasionally be found in the wide grasslands.

Lake Manyara National Park
You will be heading to Lake Manyara National Park this morning. Your last stop on this wonderful safari! Manyara is a small yet diverse park 120 kilometres west of Arusha. Everything here is on a different scale. It is both small (one of Africa's narrowest parks) and enormous (the Great Rift Escarpment rises over Lake Manyara's western border). The park is named after a tiny salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons while providing habitat for thousands of wading birds. The park's evergreen woodland is home to baboons, elephants, and famed African tree-climbing lions.
After that, drive back to Arusha for departure or an additional stay.
