Positioned directly south of Nairobi, Amboseli National Park encompasses mostly a dry, ancient lake bed, accompanied by delicate grasslands and pockets of acacia woodland. In its southern reaches, you'll encounter small volcanic hills, contributing to the park's distinct topography. The environs surrounding Ol Kenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok swamps showcase luxuriant vegetation adorned with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms.
