Sossusvlei

Early in the morning, at sunrise, you will visit the Sesriem Gate to the remarkable Sossusvlei. You'll start with climbing picturesque Dune 45, experiencing the beauty and vastness of the orange-coloured landscape. Off-road drive to the Dead Vlei, a place of the vast desert pan where dried-up, ancient acacias stand silent in the impressive, open-air gallery. If you have enough energy, you can climb one of the highest dunes on Earth, the ‚Big Daddy ‘or ‚Big Mama. After the morning excursion, you will return to Sesriem for lunch. You will take a break for 1-2 hours. Once the heat subsides, you will take a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon. This will be your last activity for the day.

Sossusvlei to Swakopmund

The journey continues with a stop in Walvis Bay for a chance to marvel at flamingos and various bird species. Later, an overnight stay at Hotel Al Mer or similar, subject to availability.
