Your first safari destination is a superb location in the foothills of the Aberdare Mountain Range. Travelling through the fertile hills of Central Kenya, you will pass by huge expanses of coffee plantations and pineapple farms, giving this area the nickname “breadbasket of Kenya.” Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, and then embark on an afternoon game drive in the Solio conservancy, which is famous for its high concentration of black and white rhinos.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Today you’ll drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, stopping along the way at the equator. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive at Ol Pejeta, which is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. It also has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya and manages a very successful livestock program.

Lake Naivasha
After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha with picnic lunch in hand. Upon arrival you will go on a short walk on Crescent Island. This island has an abundance of animal and plant species. Whether an avid animal, bird, or plant lover—or just an interested novice—you will find something to excite you here.

Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you’ll continue southwest en route to the unparalleled Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, you’ll have lunch and rest for a bit before going on your first game drive in the reserve. Trust us, you’ll be grateful for a rest after braving the bumpy road leading into the area!
The Masai Mara is one of the world’s greatest wildlife arenas and home to Africa’s “Big Five.” With one of the highest populations of predators on the continent, including lion, leopard and cheetah, the Mara is in a class of its own.

Enjoy a day of game driving on the world-famous savannah grass lands of the Masa Mara. You have the option of going on an early morning game drive with a picnic breakfast before returning to the camp for a larger meal, going on morning and afternoon game drives with a lunch at the camp, or going on a full day game drive with a picnic lunch at mid-day.
You can visit a nearby Maasai village at an extra cost to see their traditional homes (called “manyattas”) and learn about their centuries old-customs and traditions.

After an early breakfast you’ll return to the bustling metropolis of Nairobi. It may be a shock to your system after the harmony of the bush. Drive through the Great Rift Valley one final time, pausing for a photo stop if times allows. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be dropped at the airport for your journey back home.
