Day 1

From Maun, you will be picked up early in the morning from your self-booked lodge and you will drive to Xakanaxa and the Third Bridge area. The journey will take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on what you see on the way. Xakanaxa is one of the best wilderness areas of the Moremi Game Reserve and covers wet swampy and dry areas of the Okavango. The camp will be set up on arrival. The late afternoon will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is well known for. In the evening, you will share exciting bush experience stories around the campfire.

Day 2

Explore the Mighty Okavango Delta

On this day, you'll be exploring the Okavango delta, one of Africa's most remarkable natural places. The delta floods every year, and the trails differ depending on the water levels. You can expect sightings of hippos, crocodiles, zebras, Elephants, buffaloes, and the lions.

wake-up call is at 5:30 am. You will have a quick tea or coffee and continental breakfast then set out on your morning game drive. You will return to the camp at around 10:30 am for brunch. In the afternoon, depending on the availability and water levels, we will take you for a complimentary boat drive upstream into the delta. You will wrap up the day with an evening sundowner around Xakanaxa Lagoons.

Day 3

Khwai Concession

Wake-up early in the morning at around 5:30 am then have a cup of tea before driving out to try to catch the "cats" in action! You will spend most of the drive exploring the lagoons and corners of the Moremi Game Reserve and its wildlife-rich areas with a transfer game drive towards khwai concession. This increases the chances of spotting the big five.

Arriving at khwai concession you will embark on a mokoro excursion which will take you along the Khwai River to view the
game from another perspective and experience this unique traditional mode of transport used for centuries by the locals within the Okavango delta.

Day 4

Savuti (Southern Chobe National Park)

Savuti (Southern Chobe National Park)

Breakfast in the morning then drive drive to the southwestern part of Chobe National Park, the Savuti region. You will have lunch on the way and arrive at around noon.

The area is famous for its unworldly landscapes and, of course, for its predators, especially the lion pride that has adapted and specializes in elephants hunting.

In the late afternoon, we will take you on a game drive to visit the Savuti marsh with very good chances to experience hunting dogs, leopard or lions up close on a hunt. In the evening, you'll return to the camp where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 5

Journey to Kasane

Journey to Kasane

In the morning after breakfast you will do a short game drive before driving northbound towards Kasane, Chobe National Park. You will drive through the Goha wildlife gate and pass the Chobe Forest Reserve before joining the paved road which leads us towards the Botswana-Namibia border. You will explore the Chobe flood plains as you pass through. You will arrive in Kasane at around lunch time and check in at Water Lily lodge for your Kasane stay. After lunch, you will relax around the pool area before resuming your safari adventure by taking a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River in the Chobe national park.

Wake up early morning for the last time as you will do a game drive in the park. This is a “one of a kind” experience as the Chobe area is one of the finest wildlife reserves on the African continent. You'll go on a search for animals that you have not been able to capture on camera during the safari.

The Botswana part of your adventure ends here.
You will then be transferred into Zimbabwe where you will be transported in an air-conditioned minivan to the border and then to your lodge, Shearwaters Explorers Village, or Shongwe lookout lodge(depending on the availability). The border crossing will be at around 10:00 am. You will reach your lodge at around lunch time at the latest.

Exploring Victoria Falls

This morning we will take you on the guided tour of the falls with an experienced tour guide who know all the fascinating various viewing points along the well-built walk ways and paths. He will pick you up from your hotel then take you to the entry of the falls where you are expected to pay the entry fee depending on your nationality. After the tour of the falls you will be taken back to the lodge for your free afternoon of which you can look at the many activities offered in Victoria falls at your own cost.
