Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nairobi at 7:00 am with pick-up from your hotel or JKIA and journey by road to the iconic Maasai Mara National Reserve. En route, enjoy a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic views and photography.

Continue through scenic landscapes to arrive at Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge in time for lunch. After check-in, relax and unwind for approximately two hours, soaking in the tranquil surroundings.

At 4:00 pm, set out for your first afternoon game drive, exploring the vast savannah in search of the Big Five and other wildlife until 6:30 pm. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the Mara.

Full-Day Game Drive – Greater Mara Triangle

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge before departing at 7:00 am with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game drive in the Greater Mara Triangle within the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Explore vast plains and riverine forests in search of the Big Five and diverse wildlife. During the wildebeest migration season, witness dramatic crossings along the Mara River as thousands of herds brave the currents.

Return to the lodge at approximately 4:30 pm for leisure and relaxation. Dinner and overnight will be served at your lodge.

Optional Activities for the day (at extra cost): early morning hot air balloon safari or a 4:30 pm Maasai village visit for one hour.

Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, check out by 7:00 am and depart the Maasai Mara National Reserve, driving via Mau Narok with scenic views of the highlands en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive around noon and enter the park with picnic lunch boxes.

Enjoy a mini game drive as you head to a designated picnic site for lunch. Thereafter, continue with an afternoon game drive until 5:00 pm, searching for rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, flamingos, and other wildlife.

Exit the park and transfer to Ziwa Bush Lodge, arriving by 6:00 pm for check-in, refreshment, and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Thereafter, continue to Lake Naivasha and check in at your hotel in time for lunch. Relax for about an hour before heading out at 3:30 pm for a scenic boat ride on Lake Naivasha, followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island among giraffes, antelopes, and other herbivores.

Return to the hotel by 6:00 pm for leisure and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After an early breakfast, check out and depart Lake Naivasha for a scenic drive south toward Amboseli National Park. Journey through the Great Rift Valley floor and rural landscapes, arriving in Amboseli in time for lunch at your lodge.

After some relaxation, embark on an afternoon game drive across the park’s open plains, renowned for large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Explore swamps and acacia woodlands in search of lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and diverse birdlife.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
