Late Afternoon Game Drive:
You're in for a real treat in the Okavango Delta, one of southern Africa's iconic safari destinations. Partly it's the landscapes of islands, rivers, and lakes that you'll love, but these are also the backdrop to an astonishing array of wildlife. At a minimum, you'll see lots of giraffes, elephants, crocs, hippos, zebras, buffaloes, and more, and all three of the big cats are often seen as well.

Your tent is a large 3,1x3,1m dome tent, with a bush bathroom (shower bucket, flush toilet, canvas sink) attached behind it for private use. Your camping beds/stretchers are fitted with comfortable mattresses and proper bed linen and blankets. Shower towels are also provided.

It's part of Moremi Game Reserve but sees fewer visitors than elsewhere, and you can look for lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and more. It's a pretty area as well, with light woodlands, open grasslands, and a wildlife-rich riverbank.

The wake-up call today is at the latest 6:00 am. You will drive out to make the most of the day with an early morning game and then drive towards the village of Khwai through the Moremi Game Reserve.

You'll slow down and travel with us at the speed of a dugout canoe poled by a local who knows the waters here better than anyone. Apart from the chance to see elephants, hippos, crocs, and other wildlife, it's the most romantic way to soak up the silence and explore the Okavango Delta.

Discover Chobe Riverfront

Discover Chobe Riverfront

Chobe Riverfront could just give you some of your best wildlife sightings. This is where the wildlife of Chobe National Park comes down to drink. You can expect some excitement when predators are near and the prey ventures down to the water's edge. Expect really big elephants, keep an eye out for lions, and crocs and hippos are always possible.

Chobe National Park is also a great birding destination —more than 450 species have been recorded. Boat trips on the river are excellent for checking off many waders and other water-associated birds. As they have become very habituated to boats, bird photography is very rewarding here. A highlight of the river trips is the African fish eagle whose iconic call will stay with you forever. African skimmers gather on the sandbanks and flocks fly over the river, occasionally dipping in the water to feed.
